Posh Digits - Wedding Shopping Guide

These amazing selection of fine baubles found on TWISTonline.com not only makes is extremely difficult not to find that distinctly you ring, but could lead your fellow brides (newly engaged or seasoned) rethinking their decision. Being a fan of the non traditional, these rings distance themselves from the run of the mill diamonds yet still manage to hold the same level of elegance and regalia the latter conjures up amongst the masses.

Above are the 10 beauties that stuck out to me and below you can find the links to their listings but if you are still in search of that special ring or need to spark a bit of inspiration, TWIST should be your first stop.

Wedding Crasher 004 - Bold Colors

This is there seating chart...how amazing

It was the bold choice of colors used in the wedding of Cassie Lambert and Peter Scalettar, Producers of ABC's Bachelor & Bachelorette, that really drew me in.  From vibrant pinks and oranges to the saturated blue hues, no color was left untouched.  Mixed with geometric touches and modern table decor, these outdoor wedding pictures were full of inspiration.  Oh and can we talk about the fun treats table and the eclectic bouquets.  Being a huge fan of succulents and the dessert tables, I was literally over the moon when I saw how they incorporated the two.  I will definitely find a way to borrow some of these ideas in my own celebration.

50 Ideas Under $50 - Gift Registry Shopping Guide

With less than 300 days to go till my planned on big day, the only thing solidified is the dress.  I don't know where the event will take place, I only have a general idea of who I would like to attend, I couldn't tell you what my "colors" are and lastly I don't know where and what to register.  The last thing should be the easiest but after watching countless guests come into my job and laugh at a wedding registry they printed out, I've realized there is split between the two parties involved. In my fantasy world I always envisioned registering clothes and handbags while my fiance wants to know how to add a flat screen.

We've survived on very basic amenities when it comes to things within the kitchen and bedroom.  We have a down comforter with a handful of mismatching sheets sets.  I did recently by us all new towels, bath rugs and a new shower curtain that I love so in that respect we are in the top of the class. For the kitchen however we really get basic.  We have a eclectic collection plates from my old Boston apartment and some from his old apartment, one chef's pan that gets used for everything, a small pot good for boiling hard boiled eggs and a frying pan that can't be used because it started chipping. I did buy all new colorful cups (acrylic mind you) and we do have a set of shot glasses and three coffee mugs.  Our silverware could be compared to runaway children and we do have a decent knife set but with only three steak knives left.  As for the kitchen electrics we have a programable coffee maker that can't be programed, a leaky blender that replaced a vintage one with a crack which worked better, an amazing waffle maker and Foreman Grill.  Oh and lets not forget the electric can opener.  We don't have artwork on our walls and it took my best friend to buy us a full length mirror which she found absurd since we love clothing so much we turned our only bedroom into a closet and we struggled to share a smaller one that required us to tilt it on the floor to get a better look. It wasn't until recently that I realized I would always be holding out for the next place if I didn't give this apartment a fighting chance and it took my fiance to show us just how much space was rotting away because we weren't using it efficiently.  With a great plan in place now to re do our home, the idea of a registry has never been so important. But when you give someone a gun and tell them to find things they would love, reality seems to slip away.

Sure we don't have a single inch left on the counter we plan to continue using for the next year or so but that amazing new red espresso maker would be so cool to have. And if we have that we might as well add the red Kitchen Aid stand mixer and the red panini maker.....actually we should just add every red small appliance/kitchen gadget so that everything matches.  No we don't have room for it all but we will one day and that's when it will come in handy.  Oh and while we're at lets head over to the Waterford crystal department because we will definitely be entertaining in our small apartment after we get married...much more than we do now.

Next thing you know the couple's registry is 4 to 5 pages long and totals more than their actual wedding with $200 toasting flutes and $600 sheets.  Its very, very easy to do this and when your friends and family come into one of the three stores your registered with to find something to buy all they can do is laugh and hope that the cheapest item on the list hasn't already been taken.  I do want to add some really coveted items onto our registry (where ever I decide to partner with) but I do not want to be that couple who ends up with nothing from their list and a handful of cash from slightly angered guests....although the cash bit isn't a bad idea.

The thing is I don't have to be as there are so many amazing and registrable items in so many stores that won't break the bank and leave guests buying more than one.  After your big day you will have not only a laundry list of people to thank but almost entirely completed registries.  Below are a handful of fun useful and decorative items that all fall under $50 (except the gold hammered canister set....they a few bucks over).  Yep that's right all of these babies don't even come close to breaking the bank and will add a ton of spice to your new home or added character to your current apartment...
