The Vintage Touch - Wedding DIY

Although the food is extremely important, how your table is presented can set the tone for the rest of the night.  This doesn't mean thousands of dollars need to be spent on outrageous flowers and towering glass vases that light up on the bottom.  What is really appreciated are the fine details that could spark conversation as the guests possibly (hopefully not though...) wait for their food. This adorable DIY allows you to create that exact touch.

BUY THIS:
  • Vintage brooches (broken ones can work as well)
  • E6000
  • Simple napkin rings (they don't all have to match)
  • Pliers/nips
  • Sandpaper (fine and coarse)
DO THIS:
  •  Remove pin part from each brooch
  • Sand down any rough edges with the fine sandpaper to allow for a more level fit on the napkin ring followed by the coarser option to create a bit of texture for the glue to adhere to.
  • Add a bit of glue to the brooch and napkin ring
  • Allow to dry overnight.
The tutorial also suggest using a bit of blue painters tape to help keep the brooch steady on the napkin ring as it dries overnight.

This would make a wonderful project for you and your bridesmaids and is so simple a few glasses of wine won't hinder the process....
